GoTriangle Enhances Durham & RTP Services With March Service Changes

In March, GoTriangle is improving the alignment on a key route in Durham, as well as offering a brand-new route to improve direct access between Durham and Research Triangle Park (RTP). The changes also improve regional transit access for riders going to and from North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and Durham Technical Community College (Durham Tech), and mean Routes 700 and 705 will double the number of trips to Durham Station and RTP on weekdays.

President Donald Trump on February 3, 2026, signed into law the “Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026,” which provides funding for federal agencies, national priorities, and community projects throughout the nation for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026. Among the funded projects is $2 million in Community Project Funding that includes the GoTriangle Triangle Mobility Hub (TMH) project.

Cawley, Huang and McMahon appointed to GoTriangle Board of Trustees

GoTriangle is pleased to announce the appointments of Morrisville Mayor TJ Cawley, Cary Town Council Member Bella Huang, and Chapel Hill Council Member Wes McMahon to the transit agency’s Board of Trustees. Cawley was appointed to represent Wake County; Huang, the Town of Cary; and McMahon, the Town of Chapel Hill. McMahon was sworn in during the Board’s December 17th meeting while Huang and Cawley will take the oath of office in January.
