New Program Shows Employees the Perks of “Smart Commuting”

The new year brings a new way for commuters to Go Smart in 2015.

The GoTriangle GoPerks Program lets commuters track their bus trip, carpool trip, vanpool commute or days that they walk or bike to work.

“If you’ve resolved to save money in 2015, be more environmentally friendly or work out more, GoPerks can help you keep your resolutions,” said Michelle Parker, Sustainable Travel Services Supervisor for GoTriangle.  “Each day earns a point and each point is an entry that adds up toward food, fun, and good times across the Triangle.”

The GoPerks incentives include gift cards to restaurants and retailers at the American Tobacco Campus, North Hills, Cameron Village, the Streets at Southpoint, Chapel Hill and more.

“GoPerks” sponsors include:

  • Barberitos
  • Burt’s Bees
  • Cameron Village
  • Empire Eats
  • Johnny Carino’s
  • Macy’s
  • Medlin Davis Cleaners
  • North Hills
  • RTI International
  • Sweet Frog
  • and many more!

The program is free for employees in Durham, Orange or Wake counties. More information is available at www.sharetheridenc.org.

Let GoPerks make it a Happy New Year on your ride to work.
