GoTriangle to Add Weekday Service for Carrboro

Later this summer, Carrboro will have weekday transit service to Durham.  The GoTriangle Board of Trustees approved the new service this month.

“We’re pleased to extend service to Carrboro, giving passengers a one seat ride to and from Durham,” said General Manager Jeff Mann.  “Carrboro has been a great partner in developing this service and I expect the peak commuting hour service will be well received.”

Route 405 will be extended to Carrboro and start in August. The first full year of service will cost an estimated $650,000 and will be paid with funds from voter approved sales tax revenues.

GoTriangle improves our region’s quality of life by connecting people and places with safe, reliable, and easy to use travel choices.
