Earlier this year, GoTriangle unveiled new Mission and Vision statements. The public transportation agency’s new Mission is: “Connecting people and the region with high-quality transit.” GoTriangle’s Vision is: “To be our region’s trusted mobility partner.” A key part in achieving both of those statements is by offering the region’s riders modern, safe and reliable vehicles.
Raleigh Union Station Bus Facility (“RUS Bus”), GoTriangle’s newly-opened transit hub located in the Warehouse District, has been named a recipient of the 2025 Imprint Award on behalf of the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. The Imprint Awards celebrate development projects that make a significant impact on Downtown Raleigh’s growth, design and vitality. GoTriangle was recognized with the Imprint Award at the State of Downtown Raleigh event on Thursday, August 28.
GoTriangle will host a ribbon-cutting celebration for the new Raleigh Union Station Bus Facility (525 West Hargett Street in Raleigh) on Friday, July 25th. The morning’s events will begin at 10 a.m. with special remarks, followed by the ribbon-cutting, tours of the new facility, giveaways, music, food trucks and more. The public is welcome to attend this event.
Please note that bus service from the new bus station will begin on August 3.
Beginning August 4, GoTriangle will offer for the first time in the transit agency’s history bus service in 15-minute intervals along Routes 400 and 405 in Durham and Orange counties.
GoTriangle regularly reviews its routes and services; however, these upgrades are a priority for both the Durham Transit Plan and the Orange Transit Plan and were made possible by the funding from half-cent sales taxes directed toward transit improvements.
