About GoPerks
GoTriangle has developed the GoPerks program to encourage Triangle-area drivers to try something besides riding alone and to support smart commuters to keep up the good work. Beginning January 2015, the GoPerks program will continue GoTriangle’s goal of reducing traffic, helping employees save money, and improve the environment and quality of life by introducing prize drawings for smart commuters.
Using ShareThRideNC, Triangle area commuters can use an online calendar to track each day they use a smart commute. Each smart commute by carpool, vanpool, transit, biking or walking earns points. After tracking commute modes in the calendar for 90 days – long enough to make a new commute option comfortable and routine – points are redeemed for entries into monthly and quarterly drawings for gift certificates and prizes. Partnerships with employers and local businesses are fundamental to the success of this robust rewards program. The program is free but the rewards are priceless!
How to Use GoPerks:
Using www.ShareTheRideNC.org, employees use an online calendar to track each day they use a smart commute. Each smart commute earns points to use for entry in monthly and quarterly drawings for gift certificates and prizes. Users must track a minimum of ten trips in a 90 day period to be eligible for the drawings. The program is free but the rewards are priceless!

Who is eligible for GoPerks incentives?
Only employees who live or work in Durham, Orange or Wake counties are eligible. Participants must use a smart commute option to travel to work and their employer must be registered in the free Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program. ERH is free for employers and employees. How do I earn points to enter drawings?
Trip tracking through the Commuter Calendar tool gives ½ point for each trip, with a maximum of 1 point per day. Most users will receive 1 point each day for the trip they tracked to work and back home. Participants can only receive points for travel to and from work - carpool, vanpool, bike, walk and transit trips all count.
What types of prizes or incentives are offered?
Gift cards to local restaurants, retailers, and businesses will be the most common type of incentive, but incentives will change often, so check back regularly.
When can I redeem my points?
Points can be redeemed at any time during the Qualifying Period. Each prize has a Deadline, so be sure to redeem points before the Deadline ends if you want to enter the drawing. The Qualifying Period and Deadline dates are listed with each prize.
