As some Triangle stations ran out of gas over the weekend and many drivers rushed to fill up, GoTriangle is reminding commuters that there are many transit travel options available.

>"If drivers want to put their cars in park this week, there are many bus routes available throughout Wake, Durham and Orange counties along with other options like rideshare and biking," said GoTriangle General Manager Jeff Mann. "September is Try Transit month, which is a great time to explore different ways to travel to work, school, and other appointments."

A leak of the Colonial Pipeline forced crews to shut down a portion in Alabama, leaving several states, including North Carolina, with a temporary gas supply shortage.

Drivers can learn more about available bus routes, rideshare and bike options at GoTriangle.org or by calling 919-485-RIDE. Riders can get real-time bus information, letting them know when their bus will arrive, by downloading the TransLoc app.

GoTriangle improves our region's quality of life by connecting people and places with safe, reliable, and easy-to-use travel choices.
